Kia India has officially unveiled the new 2025 Kia Seltos, starting at an introductory price of Rs 12.00 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model was revealed today during a nationwide launch event, drawing strong attention from SUV buyers looking for a feature-rich, modern, and performance-focused vehicle in the midsize SUV segment.

The Seltos has been one of India’s most successful SUVs since its introduction, and the latest update aims to strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive market. The 2025 version comes with a refreshed exterior design, upgraded safety features, new connected technology, and multiple engine options to meet the demands of both city drivers and long-distance travelers.

From the outside, the new Seltos features a sharper front grille, redesigned LED headlamps, and a more muscular stance. Kia has also added new alloy wheel designs and restyled tail lamps that enhance the SUV’s road presence. The overall design continues to follow Kia’s signature “Opposites United” philosophy, giving the vehicle a premium yet aggressive look.

Inside the cabin, the 2025 Seltos feels significantly more advanced. It now includes a dual-screen layout with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver display. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless connectivity, climate control, ambient lighting, and voice-assisted features are offered across several variants. Kia has also upgraded cabin refinement with improved sound insulation and redesigned seat materials.

Safety has been a major focus for the new model. The latest Seltos now offers six airbags as standard across all variants. Higher trims include additional safety tools such as ADAS Level 2 features, lane-keeping assist, forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, and a 360-degree camera system. These improvements aim to meet the expectations of modern buyers seeking tech-driven safety.

Kia has retained its powerful engine lineup, including the 1.5-liter petrol, 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel options. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, iMT, CVT, and 7-speed DCT. The turbo-petrol variant continues to deliver class-leading performance, making it a strong choice for enthusiasts. Industry analysts predict strong demand for the updated Seltos, especially considering its competitive pricing and aggressive positioning against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, MG Astor, and Honda Elevate. Kia’s strategy focuses on premium features at accessible pricing, a formula that has consistently worked for the Korean automaker in India. With bookings now open and deliveries set to begin soon, the new Seltos is expected to attract both existing Kia customers and new car buyers searching for value-packed innovation in the midsize SUV market. The launch signals Kia’s confidence in India’s fast-growing automotive sector, further solidifying the brand’s presence in the country.
