  1. Increased Fine Amounts:
    • Over-speeding: ₹2,000 – ₹4,000 (depending on speed category)
    • Driving without a valid license: ₹5,000
    • Helmetless riding (2-wheelers): ₹2,000
    • Triple riding on 2-wheeler: ₹3,000
    • Mobile usage while driving: ₹5,000 (first offence), ₹10,000 (repeat)
  2. Mandatory Digital Challan System:
    • All states must use e-challan systems integrated with the VAHAN and SARATHI portals.
    • Challan details can be viewed and paid via the Parivahan Sewa website or mParivahan mobile app.
  3. Real-Time Surveillance:
    • Traffic violators are now tracked using AI-powered CCTV cameras installed at major junctions in metro cities.
    • Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) is being used to identify vehicles breaking rules.
  4. New Rules for Minors Driving:
    • In case a minor is caught driving, the vehicle owner and guardian will face a ₹25,000 fine and three years imprisonment.
    • The minor’s eligibility for a driving license will be cancelled until age 25.

    • Vehicles without a valid PUC certificate will be fined ₹10,000.
    • Automatic checks are enabled at fuel stations using vehicle number scanning.
